2015 Summer Solstice Party Is Best Yet

To a Big Band beat, Asbury kicked off its fifth annual Summer Solstice Event on June 19 and the word around town is that it was Asbury’s best yet.

This year’s theme was Summer at the Beach, and attendees came in suitable attire complete with shades and a very interesting assortment of beach hats! More than 350 Asbury residents attended, enjoying bourbon-soaked chicken, ribs, shrimp skewers, fresh fruit and summer-light desserts.

Strathmore Society performer The Seth Kibel Quartet provided great jazz music for the party and got quite a few people up and on their feet to burn off some of those party platter calories. An impromptu conga line had everyone laughing and clapping.
