Asbury was included in a recent Generations United report on the enriching effect of intergenerational connections.

We are proud to be part of a new report by Generations United on the benefits of intergenerational programming at senior living communities. Thank you to Harold Garman and the many Asbury residents, associates and community partners such as Identity, Wesley Theological Seminary, and Montgomery County Public Schools who have made the Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative a force for good in our region! See its partnership with the International Cultural Center on page 11 of the report .

The Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative has an ongoing mentoring relationship with Gaithersburg Elementary School, hosting weekly mentoring sessions and field trips, art programs on Asbury's campus, outreach with Gaithersburg's Latino community, and much more.
