Founded on the grounds of the aptly named "Rolling Acres" dairy farm, Asbury Methodist Village has served the Gaithersburg area for over 84 years. Originally a "Methodist Home for the Aged," the community rapidly grew to a sophisticated yet caring place where seniors of all denominations could enjoy a productive and healthy retirement.

The Park View apartments epitomize all that AMV stands for: enabling residents to live well beyond their expectations.

1926	Rolling Acres, a dairy farm in Gaithersburg, MD, converted to a home for Methodist seniors.
1969	Name officially changed to Asbury Methodist Village, Inc.
1972	First independent living apartments established, named the Trott Building.
1975	Wilson Health Care Center opens.
1981	AMV is named "Agency of the Year" by the National Association of Health and Welfare Ministries.

1990	Certification by the State of Maryland as a CCRC.
1994	The Villas open.
1999	Adult Day Services Program opens.
2001	The James F. Rosborough Jr. Cultural Arts and Wellness Center opens.
2005	65 new Park View apartments open
2008	Planned development of 43 Courtyard Homes
2010	Groundbreaking for Courtyard Homes
