New Chef's Table Offers Behind the Scene Look at Dining

Kitchen dining is all the rage in top restaurants, with people waiting months to secure a seat where they can watch chefs work their magic. At Asbury Methodist Village, residents enjoy that same experience through Chef's Table, which takes diners behind the swinging doors. Share a laugh over a rock shrimp 'lollipop' or dig into shitake-crusted halibut or plum sake glazed beef short rib.

What's New:
Campus Enhancements Underway

Visitors to Asbury's campus are often captivated by the beauty of its extensive grounds, but there's plenty to see inside, too. Construction of a bistro and social lounge is underway adjacent to the Hefner Dining Room. It adds a beautiful, contemporary space to gather with old friends and meet new ones. And Asbury was excited to have its Diamond Apartment building renovations chosen as a finalist in a national, senior living design contest.

An Island of Green in the
Heart of Gaithersburg

In addition to the 1,300 residents on Asbury's 130-acre campus, a host of furred and feathered friends call it home, too. Deer, foxes, nesting bluebirds, and endangered American honey bees have all found sanctuary on Asbury's Wildlife Preserve. The preserve gained certification by the Wildlife Habitat Council five years ago thanks to the efforts of Asbury residents whose passion for the environment continues to enhance this campus treasure.
