Resident Spotlight: Alexine Jackson

Diamond resident Alexine Jackson has a way of getting involved and making a difference. After moving around the country and raising her family, she and her husband settled in D.C., where she held a succession of notable positions. She was National President of the YWCA as well as Chairman of the Board of the Performing Arts Society, the Community Foundation, Intercultural Cancer Council and Susan B. Komen Foundation. In 1994, she was honored by Washingtonian magazine as "Washingtonian of the Year." And that was all after she retired.
